TTDP to launch “Rythu Poru Yatra” from Tomorrow
Hyderabad, Nov.5: Charging the TRS government with totally neglecting the agriculture sector and making the lives of farmers pathetic, TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy has said they would launch “Rythu Poru Yatra” for nine days in the nine districts to highlight the chronic problems of the farmers.
Speaking to the media at NTR Bhavan here on Saturday, Ravula, along with party SC Cell president Botla Srinivas and organizing secretary Ajmira Raju Naik, said the condition of the farmers was deteriorating day after day due to the criminal negligence of the government and farming has become an impossible task. Therefore, they will launch “Rythu Poru Yatra” from Bhoopalapally from Sunday to exert pressure on the State government to wake up from deep slumber and concede their legitimate demands like one-time payment of loan waiver to save the ryots from the debt burden, Rs 6 lakh ex gratia to each of 2,750 farmers who had committed suicide due to depression, initiate punitive action against the companies which supplied spurious seed and fill the vacant posts in the Agriculture department. Ravula said the “Rythu Poru Yatra” would conclude with a public meeting in Kodangal Assembly constituency in Mahbubnagar district on November 30.
