Arrest warrant against Prathipati

Guntur: A Railway Court here issued arrest warrant against senior TDP leader and Agriculture Minister Prathipati Pulla Rao and the party MLA Alapati Rajendra Prasad. The court issued the warrant as the Minister and Alapati were not appearing for hearings in a case filed on Rail Roko protest. The Railway officials filed the case against the Minister and the MLA for stopping a train as a part of 'Rail Roko' programme during the Samaikyandrha movement. Prathipati represents Chilkaluripeta and Rajendra Prasad represents Tenali. According to officials, holding up railway traffic falls under infringement category as it leads to suffering to passengers.
