VCCI Cautions AP Govt Over Corruption

Hyderabad: VCCI (Vizag Chamber of Commerce and Industry) expressed its concern over increasing corruption in the state. Recently AP topped the “Ease of Doing Business Reforms Ranking 2015-16” with 98.78% score. The ranking was conducted by DIPP (Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion) and World Bank. But corruption will surely dent the State's prospects of retaining the score and rank. In a letter to AP Govt, VCCI said "One thing that we have noticed is the reluctance of businesses to come out in the state, the actual problem be it increasing corruption or otherwise." Chamber opined that Govt need to set higher standards in order to remain at the top in 'Ease of Doing Business'
