Protect TS workers in Saudi: CM urges Al Sati
Hyderabad, Oct.22: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today urged Saudi Arabia Ambassador to India Dr. Saud-Bin-Mohammed-Al- Sati to set up a consulate and invest in Hyderabad, safeguard the interests of the State people working in their nation.
The Saudi envoy called on KCR at the camp office here on Saturday and promised to invest in chosen sectors during a discussion on related issues. He also appealed to Al Sati to invest in Telangana and partner with the economic growth of the youngest State. On the occasion, the Chief Minister stressed the need for protecting jobs and lives of Telangana people working in Saudi besides smooth shifting of dead bodies in case of deaths and fatalities to home State.
KCR vouched to improve the bilateral ties with Saudi Arabia as more than three lakh of people from Telangana work in Saudi Arabia. The Chief Minister informed that the relationship between India and Saudi Arabia are continuing since Nizam period. “Our cultural heritage is similar to that of Saudi and the government wants to improve its ties”, KCR said. Al-Sati said they have asked to finance and commercial ministries to look into investment proposals. He also praised the new State for rapid strides in education, health and welfare sectors and a focus on Muslim Minorities development.
