AP Police employed High Technology for selection of candidates

AP Police Department for the first time employed high technology for the selection of Sub-Inspector of Police (Communication), ASIs (Finger Prints). They have used modern technology like bio-metric system, Radio Frequency Identification Device(RDIF). Bio metric system is used to check irregularities in the height measurements of the candidates. In Several instances, there are disputes in the height measurement. In order to coup with increasing criticism, they have employed bio metric system. The Radio Frequency Identification Device is used to calculate the actual time taken by a candidate to run 1.6 km-run. After successful completion of physical examination, the candidates will be provided with offer letter. If the candidate was disqualified, he would also provide with letter stating the same. The successful implementation of new high technology systems enables the department to enforce in the constable recruitment.
