Expedite process on new districts, CS tells officials

Hyderabad, Sept.1: Chief Secretary Dr. Rajiv Sharma today asked the officials concerned to expedite the process of staff allocation, finding of offices and start the normal administration in new districts. Chairing the Task Force Committee meeting on the new districts formation at Secretariat here on Thursday, the Chief Secretary asked the Principal Secretaries, Heads of Departments and other staff to speed up and coordinate to find the office accommodation, allocation of officials and staff besides getting necessary office equipment and machinery for beginning the governance from the new offices. The meeting assumes significance as the State government was planning to launch the governance of the proposed 27 districts from auspicious Dasara festival onwards. Rajiv Sharma also asked them to prepare a plan of details pertaining to vacant posts, number of staff available, new staff needed and steps to adjustment among the new districts. “We need to adjust the existing staff among the other districts until required staff is recruited”, he said.
