Balakrishna: Striving to develop Anantapur

Hyderabad, Aug 19: TDP MLA and actor Nandamuri Balakrishna said that he is making every effort to develop Anantapur district. He visited Andhra Pradesh Secretariat here today. Balakrishna said that Hindupur town will be developed as cultural, tourism and sports hub. "Irrigation water would be provided to Hindupur constituency by this year end and I would not mind the criticism of opposition parties," he added. According to reports, Balakrishna met Labour Minister K Atchennaidu and discussed public issues in his Hindupur Assembly constituency. The Minister assured Balakrishna that a stadium would be constructed in Hindupur and it would be developed as sports hub. He said stadia would be constructed at Guntur, Vijayawada and Hindupur on Public Private Partnership (PPP) model.
