TS Govt To Bring ‘T-Wallet’ Soon
Hyderabad: With a dual strategy of addressing currency crunch araised from demonetisation and encouraging people towards digital transactions, Telangana government is going to bring its own 'T-Wallet' very soon.
IT Minister K.T.Rama Rao told that the proposed 'T-Wallet' would be made available in Telugu also. He said that next week CM KCR would launch its logo.
On Saturday Minister KTR held a review meeting with service providers and IT officials on the proposed ‘T-Wallet’. Government trying to make sure that the wallet to be user friendly. More emphasis will be given on privacy, security and convenience to the customer.
Transactions through wallet with government would be free of cost, initially GHMC services would be offered and later extended to e-seva (citizen service centres) and FPS (Fair Price Shops).
Minister KTR told that T-Wallet would work on feature phones, smart phones, call centre and computer as well.
