Don't touch Mission Bhagiratha, Congress tells Modi

Pradesh Congress president Uttamkumar Reddy on Thursday pleaded with the visiting Prime Minister Narendra Modi not to inaugurate Mission Bhagiratha programme of the TRS government, stating it was an old plan of the Congress government called Maulana Abul Kalam Azad Yellampalli-Hyderabad drinking water project. Uttamkumar pointed out that the Yellampalli project was opened during the Congress regime after spending Rs 3350 crore. It was now being redesigned at a whopping cost and renamed. The PCC president pointed out that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao was using the Prime Minister's visit for his personal ends. He asked the Prime Minister to announce the funds due to Telangana under the AP Reorganisation Act during the visit. Modi should announce the funds and clarify the matters.
