TS Govt Favours Pvt. Universities
Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari today informed the House that the State government was in favor of private universities in the State as they will bring in investments.

However, Srihari, who holds education portfolio, stated that the private universities bill may not be introduced this winter session. The private varsities will bring huge investments and we will encourage them he maintained. Since private varsities do exist in 24 states Telangana will have the same in the State.

The State government is focusing on resolving the issue of students of Telangana facing problems related to admissions in others states which have different education policies. Stating that the government is ready to recruit teachers he said that formation of new districts resulted in some problems related to appoint teachers. Of course, we are focusing on to address these problems and it is planned to give options to the teachers in the districts. SGT and School Assistant posts are of district level and a decision to recruit teachers is to be taken soon, he added.
