AP Delegation Invites US Investors to Attend VSDP Summit
Vijayawada, Nov.23: A delegation of the Government of Andhra Pradesh led by Minister of Human Resource Development Ganta Srinivasa Rao visited the United States of America this week for investment promotion activities and to invite delegates to attend the Partnership Summit to be held on 27 and 28 January 2017 In Visakhapatnam. The delegation included Aditya Nath Das, Principal Secretary (School Education) and Krishna Kishore, CEO, Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB). The delegation attended the ‘India – USA Synergy Event’ in Los Angeles where the Minister and the CEO, APEDB made presentations on Sunrise Andhra Pradesh and invited delegates to attend the Partnership Summit. The ‘India – USA Synergy Event’ is a full-day conference focusing on the US – India cross-border investment, trade, manufacturing, media, education, and tourism. The delegation also visited several cities in U.S including Los Angeles, San Jose, Washington D.C and New York to interact with potential investors, according to a release here. The delegation from the APEDB met officials from the World Trade Association in New York, and they evinced interest to build World Trade Centers in Amaravati. Several companies including Pfizer, MasterCard, Aecom expressed interest to invest in Andhra Pradesh.
