KCR urges Dattatraya to help fetch Central funds
Hyderabad, Sept.22: Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao today appealed to Union Minister of State for Labour & Employment Bandaru Dattatreya to take an initiative to bring funds from the Centre to the Telangana State.
KCR, who is in the national capital for Apex Council meeting on Krishna and irrigation projects issues on Thursday, called on the Union Minister at his residence and sought his help for speedy release of the funds and financial assistance from the Centre to Telangana State. Leaders of Telangana, irrespective of party affiliations, should come forward for the State development, KCR said during his meeting with Dattatreya.
“The youngest State ought to get various schemes, funds and financial assistance from the Centre and it is time to get the same on time”, KCR stated. Giving a memorandum in this regard and pending works, he also asked Dattatreya to coordinate with other Union ministers and officials for speedy sanction of funds. The Chief Minister appealed to him to see that second phase of funds for development of backward districts are released besides beginning the works immediately of Ramagundam Fertiliser plant for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone.
Later, Dattatreya promised to see that the funds are released without any delay and complete the pending works and implementation of schemes. The Centre, he said, has affection on Telangana and Prime Minister along with union cabinet has to respect over KCR. He also appreciated the Telangana MPs for the active role in Parliament on national policies and related issues and Speaker has satisfaction over their performance during its session.
