Hyderabad: The GMR Hyderabad International Airport has recently introduced a self-baggage drop facility at entry gate number 9 to improve efficiency and provide a seamless travel experience for passengers, according to an official statement. The airport has installed eight fully automated self-baggage machines equipped with scanners, scales, and sensors. These machines allow passengers to complete their baggage check-in process within 45-60 seconds, as stated in a release by GHIAL on Monday. To begin the process, passengers can use a self-check-in kiosk to print their boarding pass. At the kiosk, they have the option to select the baggage service, enter the necessary details, and print the bag tag. After tagging their baggage, passengers can proceed to the self-bag drop unit. Here, they place their bags on the conveyor belt and scan the barcode on their boarding pass to initiate the process.
