KCR plants sapling at Chotuppal marking Haritha Haram

The afforestation Haritha Haram programme is in full swing on Friday with the inauguration by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at Chotuppal in Nalgonda district. The Chief Minister planted a sapling at the Market Yard there and watered it. Earlier he was received in the town at a massive function attended by the people and leaders. He arrived in a special bus from Hyderabad. He also opened a new godown in the market yard. The plantation programme is in full swing in the State. All officials in the State are engaged in the sapling plantation programme. Called Haritha Haram, green garland, the programme is aimed at increasing the forest cover in the State and also to ward off global warming, which is being acutely felt in the State.
