Nalgonda gunfight: SI Siddaiah succumbs to injuries

Hyderabad, April 7: SI Siddaiah, who was greviously injured during the gun battle with SIMI terrorists at Janakipuram in Nalgonda district, succumbed to his injuries this afternoon. Earlier, doctors at Kamineni hospital had declared Siddaiah as brain dead following greviously being injured during the gun battle. He was in a state of coma ever since he was rushed to the hospital four days back. Doctors had earlier removed at least two bullets from his injured body. At third bullet had lodged itself in a delicate spot inside his skull next to the brain. Doctors were evaluating the feasibility of operating and removing the bullet. However, as his body was not responding to treatments, the doctors had postponed to conduct the operation and put him on ventilator. His family plunged in grief on being informed of his death.
