The RTA officials taking away a car in Ongole for the Chief Minister's convoy, according to Telugu Desam Chief Chandrababu Naidu, is a manifestation of misrule in the state. Transport officials stopped Vinukonda resident Vemula Srinivas on his way to Thirumala Darshan with his family and forcibly confiscated his vehicle. In a press conference, the former Chief Minister questioned if the authorities had the authority to order the family to disembark from their car while on their way to Lord Balaji's darshan. The CM questioned why the state had got to the point where it couldn't even get a car ready for the convoy. Chandrababu has lambasted government officials for their actions.
