Rebel farmers not to meet Chandrababu for talks on land pooling

Hyderabad, Nov 19: The proposed meeting between Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and farmers refusing to part with their lands under the land pooling scheme meant for the development of a new capital city may not take place, according to informed sources here on Wednesday. The sources said farmers belonging to nearly 11 villages in the capital region claim that they do not have any information on the proposed meeting in Hyderabad. Further, the farmers believe that the proposed meeting could turn out to be a Telugu Desam Party meeting. According to the sources, the rebel farmers see no reason to attend a meeting that would be dominated by TDP leaders and farmers willing to give their lands.
