Tamil star Suriya is playing the lead role in ‘Vishwanath & Sons’. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film is jointly produced by Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas and presented by Srikara Studios. Suryadevara Naga Vamsi and Sai Soujanya are the producers. The film is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on August 14, 2026. Meanwhile, the makers released the film’s trailer on Friday (today).
Going by the trailer, the makers have once again made it clear that ‘Vishwanath & Sons’ is coming to audiences as a family drama packed with family emotions. From Radhika Sarathkumar’s dialogue, ‘My son should win a gold medal at the Olympics,’ to Suriya’s line about not stopping until one wins and not talking too much about the victory after winning, the trailer feels highly emotional throughout.
The conversations in which leading lady Mamitha Baiju teases Suriya, including ‘Your seat is very strong’ and ‘Why are you behaving like Jyotika in Chandramukhi now?’, add a funny touch. By blending emotions, sensitive entertainment and sentiment in the trailer, director Venky Atluri has tried to give audiences a hint about the film’s storyline.
The film will show how Suriya’s character rises to become an international pistol shooter at the age of 40. Venky Atluri’s trailer cut works well in creating curiosity and making audiences look forward to the film. G. V. Prakash Kumar’s background score also feels pleasant.
