YCP brings in surprise nominee Sunanda Reddy

Wary of the possible TDP machinations, the YCP is taking no chances on its claims to a Rajya Sabha seat. For the one seat that it could secure, the YCP filed three nominations in all. Two YCP nominations were filed by its candidate, Vijay Sai Reddy. His wife, Sunanda Reddy, filed her surprise nomination, which is the third of the YCP this afternoon. The YCP sources, however, insisted that Sunanda is a dummy so that in the event of a rejection of Vijay Sai's papers, hers would automatically become the official nomination. The YCP, which has lost so many of its MLAs to the ruling TDP, is naturally wary, but it has dragged the wariness to the maximum by bringing in Sunanda Reddy.
