AIS officers opting out of AP duty

Hyderabad, Nov 30: In a strange development, even as a host of All India Service officers working at the centre and in other states are willing to work in Andhra Pradesh, a whole lot of AIS officers in the state cadre are planning to move out to the centre. Some of the AIS officers who wish to move to the centre appear to be unwilling to go to the new capital region. Contrary to this trend, at least 10 AIS officers are reported to have joined the state service from either the centre or from other states. Those officers who wish to move to the central service will have first get the nod from the state government. Only then can they move to the central service. Among those who applied to move to the centre include labour department secretary G Anantha Ramu, APPSX secretary A Giridhar and GAD secretary B Kishore.
