Following the successful landing of India's Chandrayaan-3 on the moon, S Somanath, the head of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), paid a visit to the Pournamikavu Bhadrakali Temple on Sunday. Dressed in a saffron shirt, Somanath took part in prayers at the temple, known as the Pournamikavu temple or Akshara Devatha temple. This temple is dedicated to Shri Bala Tripura Sundari Devi. Inside the temple, there are remarkable idols, including a Panjamukha (5-faced) Ganesha idol, which is carved from a single stone of Krishna Shila and stands at an impressive 200 cm (approximately 6.56 ft) tall. Additionally, the temple houses the tallest Nagaraja idol made from a single stone, measuring 275 cm tall. Notably, the temple also boasts the world's largest Panjaloha idol. Many people believe that visiting this temple can help them fulfill their desires. The temple holds significance for those seeking to achieve their goals and wishes."
