As the logjam in Parliament persists over the Manipur issue, the opposition coalition 'INDIA' is reportedly considering bringing a no-confidence motion against the government in the Lok Sabha, according to sources. The motion is expected to be tabled today itself, as per sources familiar with the developments. Reports suggest that the decision was made during a meeting of coalition leaders, which took place in the chamber of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge within the Parliament premises. During the meeting, the leaders discussed the ongoing deadlock and concluded that the government is unlikely to address the opposition's demand of seeking a response from Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Manipur issue in the Lok Sabha. Instead, the government may proceed with the passage of Bills despite the ongoing protests in the Lower House. In light of this, the opposition coalition felt it necessary to exert pressure on the government by considering a no-confidence motion.
