In front of around one lakh spectators at a sold-out Melbourne Cricket Ground on Sunday, Virat Kohli once again demonstrated why he is one of the best chasers in cricket by smashing an unbeaten 82 off just 52 balls to lead India to an incredible four-wicket victory over Pakistan in a thrilling Super 12 match of the Men's T20 World Cup. India was once down to 31 runs in 6.1 overs after losing four wickets. Then, for the fourth wicket, Kohli and Hardik Pandya added 113 runs. Kohli entered the batting order after Naseem Shah rocked KL Rahul's woodwork in the second over and India were asked to chase down 160. Hardik made 40 runs off of 37 balls, but Kohli maintained his composure and led the Men in Blue across the finish line. With six fours and four sixes, Kohli scored 82 runs while remaining undefeated.
