The Tamil film Thalaivan Thalaivii, directed by Pandiraj and starring Vijay Sethupathi and Nithya Menen, has been dubbed into Telugu as Sir Madam. Released in theatres on July 25 and later introduced to Telugu audiences on August 1, the film was made on a budget of over ₹30 crores and grossed more than ₹80 crores. This romantic action-comedy, rich in family emotions, is now streaming on Amazon Prime from August 22.

Plot Summary:
The story unfolds around two neighboring villages near Madurai. Aakash Veerayya (Vijay Sethupathi) runs a family-owned hotel with the support of his father Subbiah, mother Parvathi, younger brother, and sister. Known for his unbeatable parottas, Aakash becomes a local favorite. In the nearby village lives Rani (Nithya Menen) with her family.

Aakash and Rani fall in love through arranged marriage talks. Even though Aakash lacks higher education, Rani agrees to marry him. But Rani’s brother Balaraju strongly opposes the match. Soon, Rani’s family learns that Aakash’s father and brother are rowdies, and that the family had lied during marriage talks.

To make matters worse, an astrologer predicts that Rani’s life would be doomed if she becomes Aakash’s wife. Her parents warn her against marrying him. But their emotional bond compels Aakash and Rani to go ahead with the marriage.
