Mulugu: A group of around 82 tourists, hailing from Warangal and Karimnagar areas, found themselves stuck in the remote sanctuary of Mutyamdhara Falls during heavy rainfall. The incident came to light on Wednesday night when Tirumal from Huzurabad, Karimnagar district, alerted the authorities via dial 100, as the route back became impassable due to the sudden overflow of Mamidivagu. Upon receiving the distress call, Minister Satyawati promptly ordered the deployment of NDRF and DDRF teams to the sanctuary for rescue operations. In a statement, the minister assured that the victims were safe and that the NDRF team had taken charge of the rescue efforts. Mulugu District SP personally communicated with the stranded tourists, emphasizing the importance of not attempting to cross the stream and advising them to find high ground and ensure their mobile batteries were secure.
