In the wake of torrential rains, streams and bends in several regions have overflowed, rejuvenating ponds and creating bustling fishing scenes. The heavy flow of water has turned the surroundings of these ponds into prime fishing spots, attracting fishermen and youths alike to engage in full-force fishing. The villages of Jangalapally, Incherla, Mulugu, and Barigalapally are abuzz with activity as locals take to the waters with their nets. The Ramappa lake, in particular, has seen an increase in fishing as its fish population navigates the rising floodwaters. Fishermen have been reaping significant catches, with some nets hauling in fish weighing more than 10 kg. Due to the abundant supply of fish, the market prices have dipped, leading to fish being sold at lower rates. The enthusiasm for fishing extends beyond specific regions, with Nizamabad, Karimnagar, and Sangareddy districts witnessing an uptick in fishing activities at various ponds.
