In a significant move aimed at improving the travel experience for passengers in general carriages, the Railway Department has announced a crucial decision. They will now offer affordable food and water facilities to passengers. Railway officials explained that this decision was made to enhance the comfort of those traveling in general coaches. According to the Railway Board, the provision of food items will be made at the platforms where the general coaches halt during respective station stops. The Railway Department has categorized the General Coach Meals into two options. The first category includes a package consisting of seven puris, dry aloo (potato curry), and pickle, priced at 20 rupees. In the second category, passengers can choose from a variety of foods such as Plain Rice, Rajma, Chole, Kichidi, Kulche, Bhature, Pav Bhaji, and Masala Dosa, all priced at 50 rupees.
