Adilabad: In a dramatic turn of events on Saturday, a lorry carrying a substantial load of tomatoes lost control and overturned on the national highway, causing a frenzy among locals who were hoping to seize the opportunity amid soaring tomato prices. However, the prompt response from the police ensured the safety of the scattered cargo, worth an estimated Rs 21 lakh. The unfortunate incident occurred as the lorry, en route from Karnataka to Delhi, overturned on the highway in the Mawala suburb. Fortunately, the driver, Akram, and the cleaner, Musharraf, emerged from the accident unharmed. Recognizing the potential risk of robbery as tomatoes were strewn across the ground, the driver immediately contacted the police for assistance. Responding swiftly to the distress call, the police arrived at the scene to secure the area and protect the cargo
