In a recent Women's Summit hosted by the Hyderabad City Security Council, Telangana Home Minister Mahmood Ali emphasized the government's top priority - ensuring women's safety. He applauded the indispensable roles of "She Teams" and "Bharosa Kendras" in providing necessary support to women across the state. Ali further stressed the significance of women's education for societal development and highlighted Chief Minister's initiative to increase the number of 'Gurukul' schools for girls in Telangana. Addressing the summit, distinguished medical expert Dr. Nageshwar Reddy remarked that women possess mental strength surpassing men. He urged the need for society to recognize and respect their resilience. Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad, C.V. Anand, discussed the implementation of stringent laws such as the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) and Disha for safeguarding women and children. He reiterated the government's firm commitment towards ensuring the protection of women and children in the state.
