Bengaluru: On Tuesday, an aircraft belonging to a private aviation company had to make an emergency landing at the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport due to a landing gear malfunction. Fortunately, there were no passengers on board, and both pilots are safe. HAL sources revealed that the aircraft landed with the nose wheel not fully deployed. The aircraft, reportedly a fly-by-wire Premier IA, had initially taken off for Kempegowda International Airport but had to return to HAL Airport after the landing gear issue was detected. It has been reported that the nose landing gear failed to retract after takeoff. Gopal Sutar, the spokesperson for HAL, stated that a detailed inquiry and assessment revealed that the nose wheel was not fully extended. Taking all necessary safety measures, including fire prevention steps on the runway, the aircraft successfully executed the emergency landing.
