Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy inaugurated the prestigious YSR Sports Academy, a state-of-the-art facility constructed at a cost of Rs 26.12 crore. The inauguration ceremony witnessed the unveiling of the second hockey turf court in the state, highlighting the government's commitment to promoting sports and providing world-class infrastructure. Alongside the hockey turf court, CM Jagan also inaugurated several other sports facilities, including a basketball court, tennis court, archery block, handball court, kho-kho field, and an indoor badminton court. The comprehensive range of facilities at the YSR Sports Academy is poised to nurture young talents and bolster the development of various sports disciplines in the region. In a remarkable display of his own sporting spirit, CM Jagan actively participated in the event, engaging in friendly matches of hockey and archery.
