In a commendable display of compassion, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has instructed officials to provide employment within his secretariat to an acid attack survivor, as conveyed by an official statement from the Chief Minister's office. The survivor, who holds a Master's degree in Commerce, reportedly fell victim to the horrifying attack on April 28, 2022. During the public audience session, known as 'Janata Darshan,' the survivor, accompanied by her parents, made a heartfelt appeal to the Chief Minister for employment. Touched by their plea, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, who personally listens to public grievances at his residence, promptly pledged to offer her a job on the spot, as confirmed by the Chief Minister's office. It is worth noting that the survivor and her parents had previously approached former Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for employment, but despite his assurance, no job was provided, as stated by the survivor and her parents, as per the statement released by the Chief Minister's office.
