In commemoration of its centenary celebrations, the government is hosting a series of drinking water festivals throughout the state, underscoring the importance of water conservation and accessibility. A significant gathering was recently held at Dabilpur in the Medchal district, with arrangements demonstrating the scale of the government's commitment to this cause. The festival was graced by Labour and Employment Minister Malla Reddy, who spoke about the critical role of water in society and sustainable development. Echoing this sentiment, the local sarpanch pledged to ensure that not a single drop of water is wasted, highlighting the gravity of water conservation efforts. Reflecting on the past, Minister Reddy noted that there was a time when individuals had to travel great distances to fetch drinking water.
