Hyderabad: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati, has announced the results for the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2023. Vavilala Chidvilas Reddy, hailing from the Hyderabad zone, has achieved the prestigious All India Rank (AIR) 1. Ramesh Surya Theja secured second rank and Raghav Gopal secured fourth rank. This year, a total of 1,80,372 candidates appeared for both papers of the IIT-JEE Advanced, out of which 43,773 students have qualified. Among the successful candidates, 36,204 are male students and 7,509 are female students. One notable aspect of this year's exam was a lower percentage of negative marking. Additionally, there were more questions without penalties, which boosted students' confidence to attempt them. The exam was conducted on June 4. Candidate response sheets were made available from June 9, and the provisional answer key was released on June 11. Students were given the opportunity to raise objections until 5 pm on June 12.
