Hyderabad: In a historic moment, President Droupadi Murmu became the first-ever reviewing officer at the Air Force Academy (AFA) in Dundigal near Hyderabad. During the event, President Murmu praised the Indian Air Force's efforts in preparing for the challenges of a high-tech war in a network-centric future battle space. Addressing the gathering, President Murmu expressed her satisfaction with the Air Force's readiness, emphasizing their commitment to national security. She acknowledged the indomitable spirit and exceptional skills displayed by the IAF in defending the nation during past wars, including the wars of 1948, 1965, and 1971, as well as the Kargil conflict. She also commended the IAF's recent humanitarian efforts, such as providing medical aid and disaster relief in Turkey and Syria during an earthquake and successfully conducting evacuation operations in Kabul.
