On Tuesday afternoon, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief Imran Khan was taken into custody from the Islamabad High Court premises, following his attendance at two hearings in the Al-Qadir Trust case. Exclusive footage of the arrest was released by a local media channel, capturing the moment when Khan was taken into custody. In a statement issued by the Islamabad police, Inspector General Akbar Nasir confirmed that Khan's arrest is in connection with allegations that he and his wife acquired billions of rupees from a real estate firm. The funds were allegedly used to legalize a laundered amount of Rs50 billion that had been returned to Pakistan by the UK during the previous PTI government.
