Odisha: During the 12th convocation of Maharaja Shri Ramchandra Bhanjadeo University, Odisha, a power outage occurred, interrupting President Droupadi Murmu's speech. The incident took place on Saturday, and the venue was left in darkness for approximately nine minutes, shortly after the President began her address. Despite the power failure, President Droupadi Murmu continued speaking using an unaffected microphone system. Bhaskar Sarkar, CEO of Tata Power, confirmed that the outage did not cause any distribution disruption, and was likely due to electrical wiring defects. University Vice-Chancellor Santosh Kumar Tripathy expressed his regrets and apologized to the attendees for the incident, promising to launch an investigation into the matter.
