Hyderabad: According to the Union Health Ministry, India has registered 6,050 new Covid cases in the last 24 hours as of Friday. During the same period, 3,320 patients recovered, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,41,85,858, resulting in a recovery rate of 98.75%. The daily positivity rate was reported to be 3.39%, while the weekly positivity rate was 3.02%. The current active caseload stands at 28,303. The total number of tests conducted in the past day was 1,78,533, with the total number of tests reaching 92.25 crore. In the last 24 hours, 2,334 doses were administered, with the total number of inoculations reaching 220.66 crore. The spread of Covid cases has put the central government on high alert, and Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will hold a high-level meeting with Health Ministers from all states and Union Territories today to review the situation. The government regularly issues guidelines to states and Union Territories regarding the spread of the virus.
