The decision to appoint Naman as a child constable was made on compassionate grounds, in accordance with the guidelines of the Police Headquarters. As per the rules, if someone below 18 years of age is present in the family of a deceased police officer, they are appointed as a 'child constable'. And so, little Naman has been given this honorary title and is now a member of the police force.
