A clash between the TDP and YSRCP activists erupted in Raptadu after a social media post challenged the parties to determine which regime had developed the area. The situation turned violent when Ajay, a TDP supporter, accused Harikrishna Reddy, a YSRCP supporter, of making severe allegations against Paritala Sri Ram and his family. Ajay dared Harikrishna Reddy to come to Raptadu and prove his claim. In response, Harikrishna Reddy accepted the challenge and released a selfie video that went viral. However, tensions rose when TDP activists, and followers of Paritala Sri Ram arrived at Raptadu circle, leading to a violent exchange of stone-pelting that resulted in a police officer's injury. Fortunately, the police intervened and took preventive custody of Harikrishna Reddy and all the protesters. It is interesting to note that both Ajay and Harikrishna Reddy hail from Guntur district.
