The Supreme Court has rejected the Andhra Pradesh government's request to immediately hear the Amaravati case and has maintained the previously scheduled hearing date of March 28th. Despite repeated requests from the AP government to extend the hearing to March 29th and 30th, the court has made it clear that it will not be extended. Justice KM Joseph emphasized that the case involves crucial constitutional aspects and requires a detailed and in-depth hearing. Although the advocates of the AP government appealed to Justice Joseph to approach the Chief Justice of India for an extension, their request was denied. Despite the minor setback, the court has confirmed that the hearing will take place on March 28th as planned.
