Vizianagaram: The police recently made a remarkable rescue of a woman who had been confined indoors for 14 years in her husband’s house in Cantonment locality, Vizianagaram town. According to the sources, the woman, Sai Supriya, got married to advocate Madhusudhan in 2008, and the couple was blessed with three children while living in Bengaluru. Later, they moved to Vizianagaram, where Madhusudhan started practicing law in 2011. However, Madhusudhan allegedly subjected his wife to torture by not allowing her to speak to anyone or go outside the home. He also barred her parents from visiting and meeting their daughter. In February this year, Supriya's parents arrived in Vizianagaram to see their daughter, but Madhusudhan refused to let them enter his home.
