In a shocking case of voyeurism, police in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan have arrested 16 men for taking and sharing photographs of women bathing in hot springs across Shizuoka for the past three decades. The group invested in high-quality video and photographic equipment, including telephoto lenses, and would hide on hillsides overlooking open-air hot springs to capture images. The main accused, identified as Karin Saito, 50, admitted to filming over 10,000 women during that period and shared explicit images and video footage with more than a dozen other men. It is reportedly said that the accused sold the videos and pictures to websites. Prosecutors are investigating the case, as the images the men took violated nuisance prevention ordinances and laws on child pornography. The accused Saito has shared tips on how to capture images of women without being detected, and his case is currently being heard in court.
