Bapatla: The State Tourism and Culture Minister, RK Roja, recently visited the Suryalanka Beach in Bapatla district and announced plans to develop the area as a prime tourist destination. During her visit, the Minister inspected the guest houses, meeting hall, and other resources available at the Harita Beach Resort, which is run by the tourism department. The officials informed the Minister about the accommodation facilities being arranged for tourists and assured that Suryalanka Beach will be transformed into a beautiful and attractive environment to draw visitors. The Minister noted that after Visakha RK Beach, Suryalanka Beach is the second most highly valued beach in the state. Minister Roja emphasized that Suryalanka Beach is a safe place for tourists to bath and added that the number of visitors to the beach has been increasing, especially on weekends. She also mentioned the significance of the beach during the Kartikam festival when 1.5 lakh people come to worship and bathe in the sea.
