Row over stampede at TDP rally in Nellore and Guntur; YSRCP forms probe panel
The Andhra Pradesh YSRCP government has constituted a probe panel to look into the fatal stampede that occurred at the rally of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, according to the most recent events. According to sources, Justice B Seshasayana Reddy, a retired judge from the High Court, would oversee the investigation, and the panel will present its report within a month. The retired judge would investigate what caused the stampedes that killed 11 people during Chandrababu Naidu's rallies, eight at Kandukuru on December 28 and three in Guntur on January 1.
Prior to this, stampede occurrences sparked a political brawl in the state, with the TDP and YSRCP each blaming the other for the catastrophe.
