Balka Suman, a Chennuru MLA, took exceptional effort to rescue two farmers trapped on a water tank at Somanapalli in the Chennuru mandal of the Manchiryala district. Two farmers went to the fields to look for livestock on Wednesday evening. The surge of the Godavari river overflowed on the way back. They attempted to save their lives by climbing into the water tank because they were unable to escape. The residents noticed of this issue and brought it to the MLA's attention. When the MLA arrived there, he quickly arranged a helicopter from Hyderabad to rescue the two.
