East Godavari: Tension escalated in the Jonnada, East Godavari after the police stopped the Bharatiya Janata Party state President Somu Veerraju while he was going to visit the families of the victims of the Amalapuram riots. A video of Somu Veerraju's argument with the police is now going viral on the internet. Police told him that his visit to Amalapuram is not allowed after Section 30 is in force and he was stopped for more than half an hour. BJP leader Somu Veerraju expressed anger for stopping his vehicle to prevent him to visit Amalapuram. It is known that section 30 and section 144 are imposed in Amalapuram after violence erupted after the state government named the district after BR Ambedkar.
