Temporary capital plans shelved by AP Govt?

Hyderabad, March 4 ,2015: The AP Government has reportedly developed second thoughts on erecting a temporary capital city for shifting some of its office from Hyderabad by June. Chief Secretary IVR Krishna Rao held a high level meeting with departmental heads over the issue at the Secretariat here. Municipal Administration Minister P.Narayana also attended the meeting. The Government has reportedly developed second thoughts to have the temporary capital as people of Amaravati, Mangalagiri and Tullur have demanded it to construct the temporary capital at their respective places. Most of the top officials who participated in the meeting have expressed the view that, instead of constructing a temporary capital city, available spacious buildings should be identified to house the temporary offices. Some buildings in the Nagarjuna University campus and nearby private engineering colleges are proposed for this purpose, according to reports.
