Poll schedule released for TS, AP legislative councils

Hyderabad, Feb 11: The Election Commission of India today announced that biennial elections to two seats in the Telangana Legislative Council will be held on March 16, according to reports published in news portals. The reports also said two seats from the Teachers' constituency in the AP Legislative Council and a similar number from Graduates' constituency in the TS Legislative Council are falling vacant on March 29 due to retirement of members. The reports also said the notification is to be issued on February 19 and the polling is to take place on March 16. The counting is to be taken up on March 19, according to the reports which quoted the EC as saying.
