Cops say ‘no’ to rally for Nara Lokesh's Palnadu tour, serve notice to TDP leaders

Palnadu, June 23:  TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh will be visiting Ravulapuram village in Bollapalli mandal on Thursday to console family members of TDP activist Kancherla Jallaiah, who was murdered by rival group associated with the YSRCP. He will reach the village through Piduguralla, Sattenapalli and Guntur and hand over Rs 25 lakh as financial assistance to kin of Jallaiah.
 
The police served notice to the TDP leaders asking not to take out a rally in support of Lokesh tour. The notice said that permission not granted to the rally as there is every possibility for violence because the deceased belongs to a particular group. The rally may lead to disturbance to law and order, and damage to private and government properties. 
 
The cops made it clear that cases will be registered if rally is taken out. However, the TDP cadre under the leadership of former MLA Yarapathineni Srinivasa Rao is planning a massive bike rally.
